About Paving, Sealing & Resurfacing Services We Provide
We have been proudly supplying asphalt applications and services to the good people of Sterling, VA for many years now – and we've earned a unique reputation for excellence not only for the outstanding we do, but also for our incredible customer service.
If you too are interested in the blacktop related products and services that we supply, then here is a very brief indeed rundown of what we offer.
Generally speaking, we offer installations, i.e. brand new asphalt installed for a variety of uses domestic, commercial and industrial.
In addition to his however, we also offer a range of related services, mainly designed for use in pre-existing pavement such as driveways, parking lots and pathways that have already been installed.
Asphalt Driveway
It’s probably fair to say that this is the classic use of blacktop! A freshly paved driveway will provide a finish very pleasing to the eye, and will prove to be an asset to the overall aesthetic appeal of any home where it is installed.
Further to this, blacktop is also a wonderfully tough material that, with just a little TLC and general maintenance will provide years of useful and effective service to you.
Parking Lot
Blacktop is also an excellent material to use in commercial and industrial applications – such as parking lots.
Most parking lots are made of either blacktop or cement, therefore it is useful to compare the two materials – and asphalt comes out as the clear winner in at least two categories, which are price and time.
It is just cheaper than concrete, period. Per square foot of usage, you are going to get far more bang for your buck with asphalt than concrete. When used over a wide area such as a parking lot – those per square foot savings can quickly add up!
In terms of time, asphalt again is a clear winner over concrete. It is far faster to both install and takes less time to dry and set hard to provide a usable surface. This quick turnaround in construction times helps to minimize disruption to your business.

Paving
Finally, asphalt is an excellent material for use in laying paths and other paving. It provides a naturally very good anti-slip surface making it safe underfoot whilst at the same time providing an attractive appearance that makes it easy to work into any designs.
Sealcoating
Sealcoating is an excellent way to prolong the lifespan of your blacktop – we really cannot recommend this enough!
Asphalt is a petroleum based product. The natural oils it contains is what gives it the deep black color and smooth finish that so many find appealing. These oils also provide the elasticity that means that it's easy to lay and less prone to cracking than concrete.
These oils must be protected however, as they can be vulnerable to damage by extremes of weather and, in particular, by harmful UV Rays found in sunlight.
Sealcoating provides this protection. Is it a chemical spray that coats the top layer of blacktop and dries quickly to provide an invisible but extremely important protective layer.
We really can’t over state how effective seal coating can be at prolonging the life of your paved surface, and we really recommend that you contact us to discuss using it on your asphalt as soon as possible!

Repairs & Potholes
Unlike concrete, asphalt is relatively easy to repair. Often, when dealing with small cracks, simple filler is all that is required. We carry a range of filler materials in various application types that can be used in “do it yourself” repairs, and of course our highly trained staff are also available to complete repairs to your pavement at any time.
Potholes begin as small cracks in the surface. If left un-repaired, these cracks allow moisture to penetrate the asphalt, seep through the various layers of materials until it settles in, and begins to damage the base layer. When this base layer fails it collapses, taking with it all the material above – including the top layer.
We can both repair new potholes, as well as advise on how to prevent their re-occurrence in the future so if you have a pothole, please contact us as soon as possible!
Resurfacing
Finally, we offer resurfacing services as an easier, more cost effective way to breathe new life into old bitumen that is beginning to show it’s age. Instead of ripping out and replacing old pavement, we can simply lay a new layer of special adhesive laced asphalt over the top.
This will provide a “like new” finish for a fraction of the cost of ripping out and replacing the old material.
We hope this brief guide has been useful to you. For further information or to book a quotation, please feel free to contact us by e-mail, phone or even call in for a face-to-face chat.
